Hi! I'm a Scottish illustrator and designer currently based in Berlin.
I graduated in Marketing from the University of Stirling before moving to Edinburgh to do a Masters in Creative Advertising. After a few unpaid internships (during a recession) to dampen my spirits - I kept myself afloat with a few wonderful years working in Edinburgh bars and restaurants. With savings and a bit of fear - I went travelling for a year across South East Asia, Nepal, Indonesia and Australia which taught me so much about the world, life and the cliché travellers' mentality. I was reborn ;-) Upon return to normality, armed with a refreshing perspective on life, I decided to follow my passion for drawing and enrolled in an illustration and design course. I kept the passion-ball rolling and shortly after graduating moved to Berlin for more comfort-zone avoidance. This time keeping myself financially afloat in customer service whilst building my illustration portfolio and finding time to learn German (which is so easy to learn!). Never standing still, I decided to take a break from the grind of customer service and continue to learn German and enrol in a UX/UI design bootcamp which just so happened to fall in line with a global pandemic (you may have heard about it?) I graduated in May 2020 from the fantastic Ironhack bootcamp in UX/UI design adapting to remote learning and ready for (probably) remote working. I'm currently working as a graphic designer at the mobile marketing agency, Phiture in Berlin. Always curious, always learning - reach out and say hello. |
