I'm pleased to announce that prints of my artwork will be exhibited at the Roseleaf bar in Edinburgh.
The exhibition has 16 pieces in total and can be divided into 3 parts. They were all created digitally with a stylus and tablet and explore the different techniques I experimented with and ways of drawing I developed. Prints 1 - 8 are portraits I did with photo references of models to develop my skills in observation, drawing and realistic representation. The use of digital pencils, charcoal and chalks give the illusion of being drawn directly on to a sketchbook or canvas. Prints 9 - 12 of the plants reflect a more experimental, impulsive and less formal process of creation. The digital techniques mimic vector art: using flat colours and pattern. The result is a more spontaneous and stylised set. Prints 13 - 16 of male figures use a combination of the previous techniques. My style of drawing is much looser with the focus being on shape, line and a freer use of colour. Together they represent a snapshot of my own development as a visual artist and discovering a process of creating art that I enjoy. >> Framed prints are on sale for £50 << If you're interested in unframed prints feel free to contact me via contact form or email
